Don Cesar Hotel Wedding

A little paradise for the middle of May.  We had a chance to fly into St. Petersburg in Florida for our dear friends, Nikki Kissane and Lawrence Lee’s wedding. We had been waiting for their wedding since taking their engagement photos in the fall. (Check them out here)

There were so many beautiful details from the ” I Do” printed on the bottom of the shoes to the seashells on the wedding cake (fitting for this beach wedding!).  There was a surprise gift from the groom- a beautiful watch only to be matched by a surprise gift from the bride- a handsome watch.  This was followed by a beautiful Catholic Mass with soloist singers whose voice were simply lovely.  Florida was as hot as ever (in contrast to the more frigid Boston which was still in the 40s-50s), but Nikki and Lawrence remained as cool and loving as ever.

You can’t go wrong with beauty, elegance, and charm. Nikki and Lawrence- you know how to throw a wedding.  Enjoy the photographs below.  Please check out the slideshow of their wedding day and leave some love for us at the comments section !

Girls Brunch

When the opportunity presented that at least several of us (surgery folks) were free this weekend, it was time to jump on the opportunity to hang out. Afterall, when in the last two years of surgery residency was there ever a girls brunch? None.

Ashley introduced us to this fabulous Italian restaurant in Brookline Village called Pomodoro. I had thought I had been to every restaurant in this town, but not this one!  How could I have missed it?!

It’s a beautiful place with rustic chandeliers hanging from the ceiling with a nice earthy feel to it.

We ate, drank, laughed and told each other stories.   We even played with my camera taking photos of each other (with the last photo taken by our great waiter).  It made me grateful for finding such great friends in a city like Boston.

Spring is Here

Spring is here. Coshi Productions can’t wait for Wedding Season to start!

It’s been a tough spring, especially since we were in Boston when the tragedy struck. Shelly was working in the hospital and helping with the trauma and burn patients.  It was a terrible tragedy. However, Boston really pulled together.

Below is a photo that Coshi Productions love as it shows hope and light.

Tulle Skirt

We’ve gone crazy. We bought at least 40 yards of black tulle and many more yards in other colors. Why, you ask? Because we’ve decided to make tulle skirts! As you can tell, there are so many photo opportunities for this tulle skirt. We can’t wait to use it for future photo shoots.

Here is a side view of the tulle skirt.  It has a wrap around ribbon so it can fit any waist size.

Brunch in Baltimore

Brunch in Baltimore -

We absolutely love brunch. We wish everyday there was an opportunity to eat brunch. We love our french toast, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes. If you feel like, you can even eat lunch-type foods like sandwiches and burgers. What is there not to like about brunch?!

One of our favorite brunch places in Baltimore is Miss Shirley’s Cafe.  They have three locations;  downtown Baltimore, Roland Park and even Annapolis. Miss Shirley’s has been named as one of Baltimore’s best brunch places, and it is easy to see why. Their menu is full of different plates all sounding and tasting scrumptious. There is even a dish that has been recognized by the Food Network called- Shirley’s Affair with Oscar  that consists of  Beef Tenderloin Filet,  Asparagus, Jumbo Lump Crab Meat & Hollandaise Sauce.  Sounds pretty mouthwatering, doesn’t it? We haven’t tried it yet as there are so many other delicious dishes to try, but we hope to try the dish soon.

Visiting Miss Shirley’s Cafe can be initially intimidating because there are so many items to choose from. However, here are some tips we stand by. You must order a drink. We recommend either the Mimosa (very tasty and the most fun looking Mimosa we’ve seen) or my favorite the blueberry crushed Mojito (which is also very yummy). Oh yeah, and the coffee is pretty solid as well.

Before this, we’ve never had a blueberry crushed mojito! It was delicious. Blueberry and mint together– such a perfect match!

We highly recommend the next dish- Coconut cream French toast. The portion size is huge. It is absolutely delicious! We’re not even fans of coconut but we liked this dish immensely.

Other dishes we have tried include the Triple Slider and Sweet Potato Fries. We ate the food before we took the photos.

As you can see, we are huge fans of Miss Shirley’s Cafe. We’ll be back again, and we’ll be sure to be adding some more photos of their delicious meal. Oh yeah, and if you visit them after reading our post, let us know by leaving a comment!

Italian Food Columbia MD

Italian Food Columbia MD- Baltimore Wedding Photography

We just had to share. We ate a wonderful Italian Restaurant in Columbia, Maryland called Luna Bella.  Don’t be deceived by their ancient looking website. Their restaurant was quiet and absolutely delicious.  We find it difficult to find good Italian restaurants, and often we pine going back to Italy just to eat again. However, we were surprised by how much we have liked the food here.

We had the Blackened Chicken Tortellini (top).

We also had the Penne Bolognese (below) with a meatball added. They both were absolutely delicious. The service was very good as well.

We highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the Columbia, Maryland Area.

Engagement Session Photography

Engagement Session Photography – Coshi Productions Baltimore Wedding Photography

Call it what you want- the engagement session, E-session, Love Story session. We often get questions on 1) Do we really need an engagement session 2) What should we expect?

The engagement session is a time to celebrate and capture your love.  It also allows awesome, professional photos for family members and friends. In addition, these photos can be personalized for your save the dates, guest books for the wedding day, slideshows, and so much more.  We have had couples who purchased large prints of their engagement photos for their house; decorated a cake with their engagement photo (it was a huge cake and awesome), as well as have blankets created from the engagement photos.  The possibilities on what you can do with the photographs are endless.

Coshi Productions

More importantly, the engagement session will allow you to work with your photographer and become comfortable in front of the camera. Most of us are not models and we have had limited experience with posing. However, if you can get time to become comfortable in front of the camera, your photographs on your wedding day will be so much better.  In addition, for the future brides, it is a chance to try on your make up and hairstyle prior to the wedding. So, yes we recommend having an engagement session. Most often your wedding photographer will include this as part of their wedding collection.

Coshi Productions

What should you expect during an engagement session?

This is all dependent on the conversation you will have your photographer.  Expect about 1-2 hours in one or two locations of your choosing.  Outdoor locations or indoors with open spaces and windows to allow natural light are favored.  Many photographers, particularly those who work with natural light, will choose a specific location based on the beautiful lighting that is available.
We also encourage our brides to have their nails, hair and make up done for their photographs. We also allow a dressing change if the couple chooses. We highly encourage bringing in items that are personal to the bride and groom. It helps make the engagement session meaningful and personal. For example, Paula was a Boston University rowing coach, and for their engagement session, we went to the row house and used megaphones.
We honestly have the most fun during the engagement session because we are not constrained by a strict schedule. We can travel to the locations we want and have more creative freedom for the photographs.
If you have any questions about our engagement sessions, feel free to contact us.

Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress

Baltimore Wedding Photography Coshi Productions: Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress

Spring is coming, and so is wedding season!  With springtime, I think of sunshine, flowers and dresses; particularly wedding dresses.  Looking at wedding dresses is one of the most fun things that a bride-to-be can do.  There are just so many beautiful dresses out there.  How to pick one?

Trying on and buying a wedding dress used to be a pretty daunting task.  You had to call and sometimes be on hold for a while to set up an appointment with the dress salon. However, now with the advent of Little Dress Book by the fabulous and beautiful Mee Jung Jang, it is so easy to set up an appointment (literally point and click).

Below are some of our favorite wedding dresses during our springtime photoshoot with Mee Jung from Little Dress Book.

I like this dress a lot –  Genevieve by Angelo Lambrou. It’s one of my favorite dresses. It’s just so modern and sophisticated.  I like how the top is folded and I like the diagonal portion of the waist.   (If you’re interested in the dress- visit Little Dress Book)

Wedding Dress Coshi Productions

I like sashes on wedding dresses.  It simply brings a different feel to the dress. In addition, it brings details as well as slims the waist.  I really like this pale pink sash below.  It just reminds me of prettiness and spring coming around the corner. Use sashes to style up your wedding dress. Dress by Coren Moore

I like this fashion forward dress.  It has the perfect amount of color and detail. I love that it’s so interesting on the top and so free flowing on the bottom. If you’re want to know more, visit  Little Dress Book. Dress by  Angelo Lambrou

I like the texture of this dress. I’ve never seen a dress like it but the dress looks so classic.   Check out Birnbaum & Bullock at Little Dress Book

I LOVE the ruffles on this dress and how it makes the dress so royal and sophisticated. Check out Coren Moore at Little Dress Book

Ohhhh, this dress was MADE for a carriage. It’s such a beautiful dress dress.

  1. I like your recommendations. The first one is quite an elegant, though simple, piece. It’s quite understated. What do you think of Vera Wang’s wedding dresses?
